Departing from the Cape Jaffa Marina, Cape Jaffa. Tour the marina which was established in 2008 as we make our way past the old Cape Jaffa Port and Jetty to view the 150-year-old platform which once housed the historic Cape Jaffa Lighthouse, now home to a myriad of thriving birdlife.

The historic Cape Jaffa Lighthouse, opened in 1872, was originally built out to sea on Margaret Brock Reef, measuring a height of 41 meters, the 8 roomed dwelling accommodated two lighthouse keepers and their families.  The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1973 and moved to Marine Parade, Kingston SE and opened in January 1976 as a museum.

During the summer months, bottlenose dolphins are also often in the vicinity and often swim with the boat.

Cape Jaffa is situated 314kms south of Adelaide, halfway between Kingston SE and Robe off of the Sourthern Ports Highway.  Cape Jaffa, historically known as Kings Camp, an old fishing village, is now home to a commercial fleet of crayfishing vessels and a state of the art marina and boat launching facility.  Located a short distance away is also the Mount Benson Wine Region.
